Obituary

Adelaide Erceg, age 94 of Smith's Landing, died at the home of her loving grand-daughter Colleen on Saturday, April 2, 2016, surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

Mrs. Erceg was born in Palenville on August 13, 1921 to the late Edwin and Ethel Houston Goodwin. She married Joseph Erceg on August 9, 1941. She was an animal lover, including her most recent and cherished pet cat "Tookie" aka Ginger.

She is survived by her two children: Robert Erceg and his wife Mary of Selkirk and Barbara Erceg and her wife Cindy Fowler of Palenville; two grandchildren: Mrs. Rory (Colleen) Glass and Mrs. Dan (Tracy) Powell, both of Catskill; former daughter-in-law Rita O'Leary; fourteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; niece Kathy Everett-Worden, nephew Robert Everett and devoted friend: Mike Roberts of Catskill. Her husband, Joseph, died in 2010.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home by Pastor Michelle Lewis on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
