She was born on May 16, 1913 in Leeds to the late Charles and Wilhelmina Zaiser Weissel. She was a graduate of Catskill High School Class of 1931. As a lifelong resident of Leeds, she was a member of the Leeds Dutch Reformed Church where in her early adult years she played the non-electric pipe organ and in later years, was a member of the church women's club and chairman of church suppers.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 66 years, Fred J. Breunig and their two sons: Charles Breunig and his wife Ruth of Greenville and Thomas Breung (Liz); five grandchildren: Robert, Frederick D., Mark, Christine, and Joy Breunig; five great-grandchildren: Jeremy, McKenzie, Madison, Arianna, and Angelina; as well as her sister-in-law, Florence Duignan. She was predeceased by her sister Minnie Weissel in 1933.
Friends and relatives were invited to call at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill on Monday, June 14 from 10 to 12 with funeral services commencing at Noon. Interment followed in the Town of Catskill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leeds Reformed Church and electronic condolences may be posted at www.millspaughcamerato.com
