Alice Katz, of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away on March 3, 2017. She was born in the Bronx on January 29, 1929. She previously lived in Monroe, NJ and Flushing, NY. Her great aunt, Mary Horowitz, previously owned the Ripley House in Hunter.
The love she shared for 68 years with her husband Bernd was unmeasurable. Who knew that when a young boy of 13 met a pretty girl of 12 and asked her to watch his roller skates, it would be the beginning of a long, loving life together.

They had two daughters, Sheryl and Anita, who married Ira Cohen and Michael Robbins. All together they had four grandchildren; Pamela and Jamie and David and Jason. Alice is blessed with a total of 8 great grandchildren; Jack and Olivia; Alora Anne, Lawrence, and Lillian; and Maia, Jacob and Allyson.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery on Route 23A in South Jewett. Rabbi Zoe Zak will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Funeral arrangements by Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, Catskill.
