Obituary

Alma Miller, of Catskill, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at The Pines. She was 95.

She was born in Jewett, a daughter of the late Osborn Moody and Pearl Mae Benjamin Miles. Alma graduated high school in Tannersville in 1939. For many years Alma worked as a Nurse's Aide at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She previously belonged to the St. Luke's Altar Guild.

Over the years Alma lived in Jewett, Catskill and the surrounding area. Her husband, Charles Wheeler Miller died September 10, 1977. One son Warren Charles Miller died October 1, 1994. Three brothers, Leonard, Benjamin and Clark Miles and two sisters Loretta and Clara all died previously.

Surviving are her son Wesley Miller of Malta, her daughter Wendy Cherry of Louisiana, two grandchildren Halen and Kali Savoie, two great grandchildren Kade and Kollin, many nieces and nephews including Lorraine Banks of Lexington, NY.

A special thanks to entire staff at The Pine's, especially Mary Pat, Heartless Heather. Your caring and thoughtfullness were so appreciated.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Hgts., Catskill. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. by The Rev. Michael Phillips, Vicar of Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the Town of Catskill Cemetery.
