Joan was born in Tannersville, NY on March 26 1930 to the late Albert and Marion Van Loan Hauser. She has a sister Paula and was predeceased by her sister Carol. They lived in Hensonville, NY and graduated from W-A-J High School. Joan was voted the most popular girl and Prom Queen. She attended college in Brooklyn, NY and received a degree in Medical Transcription.
She married Frank and moved to Sunside, NY where they owned a chicken farm. They had five children; Patricia, Joanne, Susan, Frank III and was predeceased by her daughter Carol.
Frank bought Catskill Glass in 1965 and they moved to Catskill. Joan helped at the glass shop, did volunteer work and enjoyed her grandchildren. Frank and Joan started spending winters in Florida and eventually became full-time residents.
Joan is survived by her husband, four children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
A Memorial Service will be held May 18, 2013 at 11:00am at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, NY 12414.
