Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Lees. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Emmerich and their son Theodore Emmerich. She lived most of her life in Melleville, NY and later lived for 18 years in Ravena and three years in Medusa before becoming a resident of The Pines. Catherine was a very creative person who loved sewing, painting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She had a zest for life and spunk which earned her the loyal support of friends, family, and the staff at The Pines.
She is survived by her daughter Rosalie Churchill, son-in-law Richard Churchill, and daughter-in-law Margaret Emmerich; five grandchildren: Randy (Janis) Churchill, Laura Churchill (James Hutchins), Bradford (Tracy) Churchill, Shelly Emmerich, and Jeff (Katrina) Emmerich; two granddaughters by love: Andrea (Richard) Cammer and Jenny (Johan) Larsson; eighteen great-grandchildren: Samuel & Clara Churchilll, Avery & Caleb Detamore, Alex, Zoe & Charlotte Hutchins, William & Anna Churchill, Lauren & Madelyn Emmerich, Taylor, John & Michael Cammer, Ylva, Arvid, Ivar & Tova Larsson.
Private cremation was conducted at the Albany Rural Crematorium under the direction of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill. Private memorial services will be at the convenience of her family. Those who desire, may make contributions in her honor to the Community Hospice at 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, NY 12414.
