Mr. Bogart was born in Catskill on August 20, 1915. He married the former Mary Lucas on July 17, 1936 and was employed at the Lehigh Portland Cement Co. in Alsen from 1940 - 1945 when he enlisted in the US Army. He served during WWII as a diesel mechanic and was a 50 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He and his wife have resided in Catskill, Alsen, Hudson, Hyde Park, and Wappingers Falls throughout the years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bogart and their three children: Mrs. William (Iris) Williams of Dale City, VA, Mrs. Frank (Barbara) Pasquino-Greco of Poughkeepsie, and Harold Bogart, Jr. of Sante Fe, NM; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Forman of Coxsackie. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law John Lucas of Kiskatom.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22 at 1 p.m. at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill with Rev. Richard Snowden, Pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Town of Catskill Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services.
