Resided in Catskill, NY
Jim served in the US Navy aboard the USS Ticonderoga during Vietnam and was honorably discharged. To those who knew him they would describe him as the one of the nicest, kindest and caring people they ever met.
Like a true Italian, Jim was known for expressing his love and compassion through food and would often bake brownies, cookies and banana nut bread for his neighbors, nurses and doctors at the VA.
He spent his days quietly living in Catskill, NY and was a huge sports fan. He loved watching college football, the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament and was a passionate fan of Tiger Woods. Later in life, he also became a baseball fanatic and would plan his days so he could stay up late to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers - he never barely missed a game in the last three years.
Jim was truly one of the most selfless people and dedicated his entire life to his son. The title ‘worlds greatest father and friend’ isn’t an exaggeration. His only concern throughout his life was to make sure his son had everything he could ever want, even though he had very little to give.
Jim will continue to live in his son’s heart and memory.
