Mr. Taylor was born in Brooklyn on March 23, 1923. He entered the US Army on January 29, 1943 and served during the Battle of the Bulge as a heavy truck driver in Ardennes in Central Europe, Normandy in Northern France, and the Rhineland earning the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Upon his discharge on November 27, 1945, he came to Catskill and was employed by George Kitchen as an appliance repairman and delivery man.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mildred B. Brink Taylor of Catskill; his sister-in-law Doris L. Sack of Coxsackie; nephew Douglas W. Sack and his wife Beth of Colonie; four nieces: Mrs. Greg (Sandra) Seeley, Joan Hamilton, Karen Bickerton, and Marilyn Pennington; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Elaine Butts, brother Warren Taylor, and brother-in-law William A. Sacks.
Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at Noon with Rev.
