Obituary

Loretta Ross Ryndak, age 93 formerly of Athens, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Pines in Catskill where she had resided since September 21, 2009.
She was born in Albany on January 13, 1919 to the late James and Mary Grobe Ross. She was a resident of Greene County since 1924, a graduate of Catskill High School Class of 1937 and a graduate of Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston Class of 1940. She married Louis Ryndak at St. Patrick's Church in Catskill on November 27, 1943 and was a Registered Nurse at Greene County Memorial Hospital's Maternity Department for 35 years until her retirement in 1975. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick's R.C. Church.
Mrs. Ryndak is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law Clark and Barbara Ryndak of Athens; her four cherished grandchildren: Michelle Ryndak of Bloomfield, NJ, Joanne Wennstrom of Athens, Karin Ryndak of Felton, DE, and Douglas Ryndak and his wife Jennifer of Marriotsville, MD; her adored six great-grandchildren: Jessica, Julia, Jared, and Jack Wennstrom, Jr., Danielle and Justin Ryndak. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Ryndak on September 21, 1981; her sister and brother-in-law Jane and Clark Merk in 1989; as well as grandson-in-law Jack Wennstrom.
Private cremation was conducted at the Albany Rural Crematorium under the direction of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill. Private committal services will be held in the Town of Catskill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia-Greene Community Hospice at 47 Liberty Street in Catskill, NY 12414.
