Marjorie L. Ridzi, of Jefferson Hgts. Apartments, Catskill, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Kopf Petersen. In her healthier days, she was very active and volunteered with the RIP's Seniors and Fellowship Seniors. She was a daily participant at the Washington Irving Senior Center Volunteer for Meals on Wheels and for many years lived on Vedder Mountain Road, Catskill. Marjorie was a parishioner at the former St. Bridget's and then at St. Patrick's, Catskill.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Ridzi; loving mother of Frank Ridzi and his wife Linda of Nassau, Barbara Yovine and her husband Tom of Delmar, Margaret Hoole and her husband Ronald of Washington state; grandmother of Frank Ridzi and his wife Jody, John Ridzi and his wife Briana, Tom Ridzi and his wife Katherine, Mary Ridzi, Clare Ridzi, Mike Yovine and his wife Alison, Brian Yovine and his wife Sandy, Ron, Kathleen and Deidre Hoole; great grandmother of Quintin, Kennedy, Emerson, Ella, Mark, Reese, Elizabeth, Emily, Alexis, and Maxwell. Sister of the late Dorothy Aldridge, Anna Duffy and John Petersen. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The calling hours will be at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home 139 Jefferson Hgts., Catskill on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Thursday from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Chapel, 35 Spring St., Catskill at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
