Obituary

Thomas Bryan "The Halp" Halpin, 53, of Islip, Long Island passed away on Monday, June 06, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospice, Albany.

He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, a son of the late Thomas F. and Barbara J. Kopas Halpin. Tom graduated from St. Patrick's Academy, Catskill. He served in the US Air Force as a Senior Airman from 1982 – 1985. He then began a 28 year career as an Air Traffic Controller for New York Tracon, Laguardia Sector.

Tom loved boating and spending time with his family and dogs.

Surviving are two sisters Lynn A. Kutski and her husband Michael P. of Craryville; Barbara Ann Halpin Lawrence of California; his niece and nephews Alexis N. Kutski of East Greenbush, Justin M. Kutski of Charleston, SC, Christopher Lawrence and Chandler Lawrence of California. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Hgts., Catskill. The funeral procession will form on Saturday between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass, celebrated by Fr. James Borstelmann, will be at St. Patrick's Church, 24 No. Washington Street, Athens at 10:00 a.m.
